ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Isabella (you can call me Isa). I'm the cook, photographer, recipe developer and (very shy) face behind this feed.
Sicilian born and bred - or as I like to say "I'm from the land of the simmering Etna" - I spent a decade in Asia, where I got the chance to travel extensively and experience a multitude of cuisines.

I eventually came closer to home and decided to settle down in London for good. I currently blog and cook from my tiny London kitchen.

As you may (or may not) tell by my last name, I embraced another culture somewhere along the line, by marrying my Indian husband. So India is my second home and I'm extra passionate about the Indian cuisine.
Food for me is culture, tradition, religion and family. It's also experimentation, fusion, and interpretation. It's a means of learning about my own traditions and others' cultures. A way of finding connections between far away places and people, to discover that, in the end, we are all one and the same.
My cooking is themed after the traditional Sicilian food I grew up eating, but also influenced by my time spent in and around the Mediterranean, Middle-East and Asia.
I hope you can learn a bit about my land and culture through my recipes. I know I'm definitely learning a lot from all of you, and I'm so thankful for that.
